In 2016, Sabatina Mauro (The Mindful Mezzo) began her journey into the world of psychological studies, mindfulness practices, and working her absolute hardest to understand all aspects of applicable positive psychology. From this initial spark, an everlasting fire was built. Sabatina went on to study psychology through the Gordon F. Derner Institute at Adelphi University, which has been ranked fourth in the world among other psychology and psychoanalysis schools by the Center for World University Rankings, making its mark among Ivy-League universities as an outstanding program for psychological studies.
While receiving her degree in psychology, Sabatina found a mentor in Lawrence Josephs, PhD, who guided her through her research in the Emerging Scholars program, where she originated the 2017 study "Personality Style and Mate Retention," which was selected for presentation under the Division 8 section of the 2017 American Psychological Association and was presented at research conferences for NCUR and Adelphi University in the same year.

After receiving her degrees in psychology and music on Long Island, Sabatina went on to receive two graduate degrees in music from the University of North Texas, where she began to make a name for herself as "The Mindful Mezzo," making mindfulness posts online at the requests of peers and colleagues. She soon found that her calling for a future in psychology was not letting up - despite her love for a performance-based career.

Sabatina now has her own performance mindfulness coaching studio.
While her passion for helping other performers developed, she noticed the lack of performance-based psychology within the world of singing. Her dream and goal are to help other performers reach their own goals by first reaching a mindful approach to their voice, breathing, and music. Sabatina fully believes that a performer will fall in love with their career once they learn to love their path and learn to accept their approach, voice, and the beauty of their person. Through The Mindful Mezzo, all performers can expect to spend portions of each session learning mindfulness through one-of-a-kind mindfulness voice and breathing exercises. Sabatina does not limit her clients to music only, and will ask clients to use other artistic mediums which they may provide if they choose, or will have provided for them at each session.

Coachings begin at $35, with the first session free for all who wish to work through The Mindful Mezzo.
For your welcome session, you can expect to have a 45 minute meeting in which you discuss your goals, your current approach to singing, and what you wish to get out of your sessions. From there, Sabatina will work with you to develop a personalized calendar of coachings, as well as a plan for how the next few sessions will go. From there, you can choose to work in 30 or 60 minute slots as often as you need.

*Since The Mindful Mezzo coaches privately, please reach out if you have concerns with pricing or need to set up a payment plan.
